As a mentor, coach and retreat leader, I'm supposed to be the one with the answers, the solutions focused guy, the one person others can rely on to be always switched 'on,' inspiring others to be the very best version of themselves they can be.
I'm the one who talks about 'authenticity' and how your not defined by what others think of you.
Not to be concerned if others like you, or if they absolutely detest you and your values.
The truth may surprise you.
I also like to be liked.
I also listen to what others say about me, either on social media or in the press or in a professional capacity when I am coaching a team.
Just by writing this blog, I feel myself thinking if anyone will read it or like it, let alone leave a comment or share it with others.
I am even debating whether to actually hit the 'publish button.
And this is all absolutely OK.
It's simply part of being human.
It's fine to wake up some days and to simply not 'feel it' ...to want to simply curl back under the duvet and hope that someone else can take care of the 'life' stuff that always needs doing, just for a day.
So, I am not really sure why I am explaining this, other than to tell you that it's the truth and that hopefully it helps you in some way.
Have a great week
